Most Versatile Venue 2026
Rather aptly given the current World Cup, One Great George Street has scored its 3rd gold award win of the season – its own hat-trick!
On Friday 26th June 2026 at Battersea Evolution, One Great George Street took home gold for ‘Most Versatile Venue’ at the 2026 Conference & Events Awards with the panel of judges praising One Great George Street as a ‘Brilliant all-round venue with excellent flexibility’. This follows ‘Best Fashion Event Venue’ at the Prestigious Star Awards and ‘Best Conference Venue’ at the Cool Event Awards.
This trio of coveted award wins reinforces One Great George Street’s multi award winning status and stands us in great stead to reach our vision: ‘To be the first-choice events venue in London, leading the way in innovation and excellence’.
I’d like to thank the whole One Great George Street team who live up to our name every day to elevate our clients’ events. When I came to write the submission, there was no shortage of content and positive statistics from which to create case studies and presentations of evidence to showcase why we should win ‘Most Versatile Venue’, especially against such tough competition from our industry peers. What struck me was how it wasn’t a stand-alone department which was excelling but rather every single department and the whole team should all be so proud of accomplishing these awards with their hard work and continued dedication.
What makes One Great George Street the most versatile venue? We are the quintessential London venue that combines historically stunning spaces with modern technology, and exceptional catering built around the very best local and UK producers. Clients enjoy an unparalleled experience in the hands of our innovative and knowledgeable team. Our exceptional catering and AV teams are both in-house enabling us to offer a convenient one-stop-event-shop which can be tailored to client requirements. Recent upgrades of our facilities, innovative new approaches in our catering offering, investment in our team, their training and the freedom to enact an ‘anything is possible customer-first motto’ have paid off.
From lowering our immense Great Hall chandeliers to provide an innovative backdrop for models walking the catwalk during London Fashion week to customised dishes to match the theme of a client’s event, our staff have the autonomy to be versatile. Through evidence, we have demonstrated an ability to attract a wide range of diverse, ground-breaking events due to our continually evolving and versatile approach, consistently exceed client expectations and retain a very high level of repeat customers. We offer all of this with competitive pricing and exceptional value for money, with all funds from clients’ event being fed directly back into the UK and global infrastructure.
We really enjoyed celebrating this win at the awards ceremony courtesy of GNC Events which was flawless from start to finish despite the heatwave. Attracting an audience of over 700 conference, awards, charity-events and venue professionals, the Conference & Events Awards is the pinnacle of event industry recognition and an eagerly awaited early summer fixture in the calendar. This year we particularly enjoyed the entertainment provided by comedians Lucy Porter and Matt Lucas.
Thank you to the organisers, sponsors and judges of GNC Events for making this possible, and congratulations to all the winners, runners up and finalists.
